Role & responsibilities

- Handle end-to-end Fixed Asset Accounting activities, including capitalization, additions, transfers, disposals, and retirements.

- Prepare and post journal entries related to fixed assets in SAP after obtaining necessary approvals.

- Perform monthly depreciation runs and review depreciation postings.

- Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register with the General Ledger.

- Handle asset accounting activities such as parking, editing, reversing, and posting journal entries.

- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities within stipulated timelines.

- Prepare fixed asset schedules, depreciation reports, and supporting documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting/Commerce.

- 3-6 years of experience in R2R / General Ledger / Fixed Asset Accounting.

- Hands-on experience with SAP and MS Excel.

- Valuable understanding of depreciation, capitalization, asset reconciliation, and month-end close.
