Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Proposal Engineer with experience in preparing techno-commercial proposals for process equipment such as Pressure Vessels, Reactors, Agitators, Storage Tanks, Heat Exchangers, and related equipment. The candidate will be responsible for analysing customer enquiries, preparing cost estimates, coordinating with internal teams and submitting competitive proposals.

Key Responsibilities

- Review customer RFQs, specifications, tender documents, datasheets, and technical requirements.
- Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals for:

- Pressure Vessels

- Reactors

- Agitators

- Storage Tanks

- Heat Exchangers

- Process Equipment
- Interpret PFDs, P&IDs;, GA drawings, and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Production teams for technical inputs and cost estimation.
- Prepare BOMs and obtain vendor quotations for bought-out items.
- Perform cost estimation, pricing analysis, and profitability calculations.
- Ensure proposals comply with ASME, TEMA, API, IS, and customer standards where applicable.
- Prepare technical deviations, clarifications, and bid documentation.
- Participate in customer discussions and tender clarification meetings.
- Maintain proposal records, cost databases,



and project documentation.
- Support the sales team in negotiating technical and commercial aspects of proposals.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or diploma
- 28 years of experience in proposal engineering, estimation, or bidding of process equipment.
- Strong knowledge of Process Equipment Fabrication
- Understanding of ASME Sec VIII, API standards, material specifications, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, datasheets, and specifications.
- Experience in preparing techno-commercial offers and cost estimations.
- Positive communication and customer interaction skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in Pharma, Chemical, Process Equipment, EPC, or Industrial Equipment Manufacturing industries.
- Exposure to tendering, bidding, and customer contract reviews.
- Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication and equipment manufacturing processes.
