1. Job Purpose

The Project Technician will be responsible for supporting the installation, erection, piping, equipment assembly, testing, commissioning and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment plants including WTP, STP, ETP, RO, UF and related treatment systems. The role requires hands-on technical knowledge, site execution capability and the ability to coordinate effectively with Project Engineers, contractors, vendors and client representatives.

1. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution

- Execute day-to-day site activities as per approved project drawings and instructions.
- Carry out installation, erection and assembly of treatment plant equipment.
- Assist in installation of pumps, motors, blowers, agitators, filters, tanks, dosing systems, valves and other equipment.
- Execute mechanical, piping, plumbing and equipment-related works.
- Ensure proper alignment, leveling, fitting and installation of equipment.
- Assist in electrical equipment installation and coordinate with electrical technicians when required.

Piping & Fabrication
- Support piping installation as per approved P&ID;, GA drawings and piping layouts.
- Check pipe routing, supports, valves, fittings and connections.
- Coordinate with welders, fabricators and subcontractors for site execution.
- Identify and report installation discrepancies to the Project Engineer.

Testing & Commissioning
- Assist in equipment testing, trial runs and plant commissioning.
- Check pumps, motors, blowers, dosing systems and other equipment during commissioning.
- Support chemical dosing, filtration,



aeration and other treatment processes during trial operation.
- Identify operational issues and support troubleshooting activities.
- Assist in performance testing and successful handover of projects.

Site Coordination
- Coordinate with contractors, operators, vendors and client representatives.
- Monitor manpower, materials, tools and equipment required for site activities.
- Ensure work is completed within the planned project schedule.
- Report daily progress, delays, material requirements and technical issues to the Project Engineer.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily site activity and progress reports.
- Record installation, testing and commissioning activities.
- Maintain equipment checklists and site records.
- Support preparation of commissioning and handover documentation.
- Report site issues and material requirements promptly.

Safety & Quality
- Follow all company and client safety procedures at project sites.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and protected working practices.
- Maintain good housekeeping at the work location.
- Ensure installation work is carried out according to approved drawings and quality standards.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment damage or site incidents.

1. Qualification

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical or related technical discipline.

1. Experience

1–5 years of experience in project execution,



installation, erection, commissioning or maintenance. Experience in WTP / STP / ETP / RO / UF / wastewater treatment projects will be highly preferred.

1. Required Technical Skills

- Knowledge of pumps, motors, blowers, valves and piping systems.
- Basic understanding of P&ID;, GA drawings and piping layouts.
- Knowledge of mechanical installation and equipment alignment.
- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Understanding of water and wastewater treatment plant equipment.

- Strong hands-on technical ability.

- Ability to work independently at project sites.
- Good coordination and communication skills.

- Willingness to travel and stay at project locations as required.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,521.19 per month
