Shift Operations Management

Oversee and manage all refinery operations during the assigned shift, ensuring production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rates, etc.) to ensure they remain within standard limits.

Ensure proper start-up, shutdown, and changeover procedures are followed.

Production Monitoring Control

Ensure daily production targets are met as per the production plan.

Coordinate with the Quality Control and Maintenance departments to resolve process abnormalities or equipment issues promptly.

Maintain optimal yield and minimize losses or wastage during processing.

Quality Assurance

Ensure all operations are conducted in compliance with internal quality standards and FSSAI or other applicable regulatory guidelines.

Work closely with the lab/QA team to ensure product specifications are met consistently.

Team Supervision Manpower Management

Supervise operators, technicians, and contract labor working during the shift.

Allocate tasks, provide on-the-job training, and ensure discipline, safety, and productivity among the team.

Conduct shift briefings and ensure effective handover/takeover between shifts.

Health, Safety Workplace (HSE) Compliance





Enforce safety protocols and ensure use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) across the shift.

Respond quickly to any incidents or emergencies, and report them as per SOP

Reporting Documentation

Maintain accurate shift records, including production logs, downtime reports, maintenance issues, and manpower deployment.

Report deviations, breakdowns, and corrective actions taken during the shift to the Plant Manager or Production Head.

Coordination with Other Departments

Liaise with maintenance, quality control, utilities, logistics, and raw material handling teams to ensure smooth operations.

Inform relevant stakeholders of any delays, bottlenecks, or operational concerns.

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency, energy utilization, and cost control.

Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
