Job Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for translating sales and production requirements into executable job orders, ensuring on-time and in-full delivery through accurate planning, master data management, and cross-departmental coordination. The role tracks daily and weekly production performance, maintains key operational KPIs, and drives continuous improvement in planning accuracy and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Create, release, and follow up on Job Orders to ensure timely execution.

Prepare Weekly Production Plans and maintain OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance.

Prepare Daily Production Reports for management review.

Maintain, and update Master Data for Material Codes, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and product structures in the ERP system ensuring data accuracy and alignment with production and procurement requirements.

Coordinate with all departments to ensure smooth production flow.

Generate Weekly Departmental KPI Reports.

Monitor Production Dashboards and report discrepancies.

Drive Continuous Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy and production efficiency.

Reduce production delays, idle time, and material shortages.





– Initiate process improvement practices.

– Recommend planning improvements based on production data and KPIs.

Verify and ensure accurate data recording across systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Production Management, Operations, or a related field.

1-3 years of experience in production planning or manufacturing operations, preferably in FMCG or process manufacturing.

Working knowledge of Tally, ERP/MRP systems, Job Order management, and BOM structures.

Robust proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Good understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and material flow.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication and coordination skills to work across departments.

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple job orders under deadlines.

Proactive, data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Ability to communicate fluently in Kannada, Hindi, English and any other language is a plus. Role & responsibilities
