Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Product Strategy Manager for Engine and Application Base to drive the future direction of our engine and application product portfolio (including agricultural machinery, pumps, marine propulsion, and other Engine application). This role is critical for identifying new market opportunities, defining long-term product roadmaps, and ensuring our offerings achieve a competitive advantage and strong commercial success across diverse industrial and power generation sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of engine technology, market trends (especially emissions standards, efficiency, alternative fuels, and digitalization/telematics), and B2B product lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Market & Competitive Analysis

- Conduct comprehensive market research, trend analysis, and competitive landscape assessments within the engine and application base sector
- Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for the leadership team.
- Identify unmet customer needs and emerging technological shifts (e.g., hybrid power solutions) that could create new product opportunities.

Product Strategy & Roadmap Development
- Define and articulate the long-term product vision and strategic direction for our engine and application product lines.
- Develop and manage the multi-year product strategy roadmap, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and financial targets.
- Create detailed business cases, including market sizing, financial projections (ROI, revenue forecasts), and strategic rationale, to justify recent engine and application product investments.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success, including market share, cost of ownership (TCO), and profitability.

Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with Engineering,



R&D;, Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to translate strategy into execution.
- Act as the "voice of the market" internally, guiding product requirements and specifications with a customer-centric and data-driven approach.
- Support the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy by providing strategic positioning, application-specific messaging inputs, and sales enablement materials.

Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with key customers (OEMs and end-users), distributors, and industry influencers to validate strategy and gather early feedback on engine performance and application needs.
- Present product strategies, roadmaps, and business reviews to senior executives and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Business, or a related technical field. MBA or Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, technical consulting, or market analysis, with at least 8+ years dedicated specifically to engine technology and its industrial or specialized application base.
- Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of engine architecture (diesel, gasoline, or alternative fuels), performance metrics, and relevant global emissions standards (e.g., EPA, EU Stage V, IMO).
- Application Knowledge: Practical understanding of the following application bases: Agricultural, Pump/Industrial, Marine, or other Engine application.
- Skills: Proven ability to create compelling product narratives and business cases. Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting complex strategic topics to executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications/Skill
- Experience working with or selling to major global OEMs in the relevant application fields
- From Greaves competitor or similar consultancy company or OEMs like Force motor
