Position: Product Engineer - Seating Systems

Domain: Automotive / Railway / Aerospace Seating Systems

Experience: 6-8 Years

Location: Pune

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead conceptualization, design and development of seating system components and assemblies.
- Develop 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation using CATIA V5/V6.
- Drive product development from concept through prototyping, validation, and production release.
- Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews, DFMEA, GD&T;, and engineering change management.
- Support prototype builds, testing, root cause analysis, and design optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customers.

Required Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.




- 4-8 years of experience in product design and development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in CATIA V5/V6.
- Good understanding of sheet metal, plastic components, mechanisms, GD&T;, tolerance stack-up and DFM/DFA.
- Experience in Automotive, Railway, or Aerospace seating/interior systems preferred.
- Robust problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.

Preferred Experience:

- Seating structures, recliner mechanisms, seat tracks, armrests, headrests, and occupant comfort systems.
- Product conceptualization, rapid prototyping, validation, and launch support.
