About the Role

Nangia & Co LLP is looking for an experienced Manager – Direct Tax to handle direct tax advisory, compliance, assessments, and litigation matters. The role involves managing client engagements, providing tax solutions, and leading a team of tax specialists.

Key Responsibilities
Manage and review direct tax compliance, including income tax returns, tax audits, and related filings.
Handle income tax assessments, notices, appeals, and litigation before tax authorities.
Provide direct tax advisory on corporate transactions, restructuring, and other business matters.
Research and interpret provisions of the Income Tax Act, rules, circulars, notifications, and case laws.
Identify tax risks and opportunities and provide practical recommendations to clients.
Review tax computations, provisions,



and other tax-related deliverables.
Manage client relationships and ensure timely delivery of assignments.
Lead and mentor junior team members and review their work.
Coordinate with internal teams and clients on complex tax matters.

Qualifications & Skills
CA qualification preferred.
6–10 years of relevant experience in Direct Tax.
Strong knowledge of Indian Direct Tax laws and regulations.
Experience in tax advisory, compliance, assessments, and litigation.
Robust analytical, communication, and client-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Preferred Candidates: Professionals from Big 4, leading consulting firms, or reputed CA/tax advisory firms with relevant Direct Tax experience.
