ROLE: Production Planning Engineer - PPC Engineer

LOCATION: Vadodara, Gujarat

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented planning engineer to oversee production planning, raw material planning, BOM generation, and material coordination for QUALITY Testing Machine manufacturing. The ideal candidate should possess solid knowledge of mechanical drawings, Planel Wiring, Assembly knowledge for assembly for any Machine as per Drawing, PLC & Servo Wiring, manufacturing processes, and inventory planning to ensure smooth and timely execution of production schedules.

Production Planning

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and manufacturing capacity.
- Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Production, Design, Purchase, Quality, and Stores departments for seamless workflow.
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve productivity.

Raw Material Planning & Indenting
- Plan raw material requirements based on production schedules and customer demand.
- Prepare and raise material indents for procurement.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the purchase department to ensure timely material availability.
- Minimize production downtime by ensuring uninterrupted material supply.

Mechanical Drawing Interpretation
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, Panel Wiring Drawing, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Analyze drawings to determine material specifications, dimensions, and manufacturing requirements.
- Coordinate with the design department for drawing revisions and engineering changes.

Bill of Materials (BOM)




- Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) from engineering drawings.
- Verify BOM accuracy before production release.
- Update BOMs based on engineering changes and design modifications.
- Ensure proper material coding and documentation within the ERP system.

Inventory & ERP Management
- Maintain planning records and material status reports.
- Monitor stock levels and optimize inventory to reduce excess and shortages.
- Update production and material planning data
- Generate planning MIS reports for management review.

Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with Design, Procurement, Production, Quality, and Stores teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support management in production scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and reduce production lead time.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Production Planning and Control (PPC).
- Expertise in raw material planning and material indenting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
- Experience in generating and managing Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Good understanding of heavy machinery manufacturing and fabrication processes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
