Key Responsibilities
Project Execution: Manage mechanical, electrical, and plumbing/piping installations from conception to commissioning within budget and timeline limits.
Plant Utility Management: Oversee specialized systems common to copper processing (such as heavy-duty cooling water networks, acid/chemical waste plumbing, high-capacity power distribution, and ventilation/scrubber systems).
Contractor & Site Supervision: Direct onsite MEP contractors, monitor daily progress, review shop drawings, and ensure method statements match plant safety rules.
Testing & Commissioning: Witness and document pressure tests, electrical insulation checks, and integrated plant loop trials.
Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict EHS (Workplace, Health, and Safety) protocols, OSHA/local factory guidelines,
and metallurgical statutory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Experience: 5 to 8 years of hands-on project engineering experience, with at least 2–3 years inside a heavy process industry, chemical plant, or metals manufacturing facility.
Technical Knowledge: Solid grasp of industrial HVAC, high-voltage transformers, furnace cooling systems, heavy piping blueprints, and P&IDs; (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).
Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project or Primavera, and basic plant design tools.
