The organisation has strong technological capabilities in high-pressure aluminium die casting, machining and value-added manufacturing , serving demanding customers in the automotive and industrial sectors. The plant operates with contemporary die-casting technology and has the capability to manufacture a wide range of complex aluminium cast components.

? Role Overview The Plant Head will have overall responsibility for plant operations and business performance , including:

The position requires a strong hands-on leader with deep technical and operational expertise in Aluminium High Pressure Die Casting , capable of managing the complete plant as a business unit. ⚙️ KEY TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED The ideal candidate should have strong experience in:

? PLANT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES The Plant Head will be responsible for driving:

Production

- Achieve production targets while maintaining quality and delivery commitments
- Improve machine utilisation, OEE and productivity
- Optimise manpower, machine loading and production planning
- Reduce cycle time, downtime and rejection

Quality

- Drive zero-defect manufacturing
- Reduce casting defects such as porosity, blow holes, cold shuts, cracks, inclusions, dimensional variation and die-related defects
- Lead structured Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions
- Strengthen process control and customer quality performance

Maintenance

- Ensure high equipment availability
- Establish preventive / predictive maintenance systems
- Reduce breakdowns and MTBF/MTTR performance
- Manage critical spares and maintenance planning

Procurement

- Lead strategic procurement of raw materials, consumables, tooling, dies, spares and services
- Vendor development and cost optimisation
- Develop reliable supplier networks

Cost & Productivity

- Drive reduction in conversion cost
- Improve aluminium yield and metal utilisation
- Reduce rejection, rework, energy consumption and consumable costs




- Lead Lean Manufacturing / Kaizen initiatives

People & Organisation

- Lead production, maintenance, quality, PPC, purchase and other functional teams
- Develop second-line leadership
- Build a strong performance-driven culture
- Ensure effective cross-functional coordination

? IDEAL CANDIDATE We are looking for a senior manufacturing professional who has actually managed an Aluminium HPDC plant , preferably with exposure to the automotive / auto-component industry .

The candidate should possess

- 18–25+ years of manufacturing experience
- Significant experience in Aluminium HPDC
- Previous experience as Plant Head / Factory Head / Operations Head / Unit Head / Senior Operations Leader
- Strong exposure to production, maintenance and engineering
- Good understanding of quality systems and customer requirements
- Strong commercial and cost-management orientation
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Experience in managing large cross-functional teams
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, OEE and continuous improvement
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder-management skills

This is not a conventional Production Head position .

The successful candidate will be expected to take end-to-end ownership of plant performance , including manufacturing, maintenance, procurement, productivity, cost, quality, delivery and people .
