Piling Supervisor

Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Piling Supervisor with a piling contractor or piling contracting company.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Piling Supervisor to oversee piling operations at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for supervising piling activities, coordinating workers and equipment, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring that piling works are executed efficiently and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Educational Qualification

ITI / Diploma / equivalent technical qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field will be preferred. Relevant practical experience in piling works will be given due consideration.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise day-to-day piling operations, including setting out, boring/drilling, reinforcement cage installation, tremie concreting, pile extraction, and related activities.
- Possess good practical knowledge of piling equipment, machinery, tools, and their operation, including drilling rigs, DMC rigs, cranes, winches, concrete pumps, tremie systems, and associated equipment.
- Coordinate and manage site workers, operators, rig crews, and other personnel involved in piling activities.
- Ensure proper deployment and efficient utilisation of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Monitor pile location, diameter, depth, boring progress, strata encountered, drilling parameters, and other relevant site records.
- Ensure reinforcement cages are fabricated and installed correctly as per approved drawings.
- Supervise concreting operations, including concrete supply, slump checks, tremie pipe installation, concrete quantity, and continuity of concreting.
- Maintain daily records of pile boring, concrete consumption, reinforcement, pile depth, strata encountered, and other relevant activities.
- Coordinate with the Project Engineer,



Site Engineer, consultant, and client representatives regarding site requirements and technical issues.
- Identify site-level problems promptly and coordinate with the concerned personnel for their resolution.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe operation of piling machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with approved method statements, specifications, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
- Monitor housekeeping and maintain a safe and organised piling work area.
- Assist in pile load testing, pile integrity testing, and other pile-related quality control activities.
- Maintain and update borelogs and records of soil/rock strata encountered during piling operations.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports and other site records as required.
- Ensure timely completion of piling works in accordance with the project schedule.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Good practical knowledge of piling methods, equipment, and site operations.
- Good knowledge of soil investigation, identification of soil and rock strata, and preparation of borelogs.
- Strong manpower and worker management skills.
- Good understanding of site coordination and construction procedures.
- Ability to read and understand basic structural/foundation drawings and piling details.
- Ability to maintain accurate site records and communicate daily progress.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making ability at site.
- Positive attitude and willingness to take responsibility.
- Quick learning ability and adaptability to different piling methods, equipment, and project conditions.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple site activities efficiently.
- Willingness to work at project sites and coordinate with different teams.
- Ability to work independently and take appropriate site-level decisions within the scope of responsibility.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
