Role & responsibilities:
- Examine and interpret hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, and other routine laboratory tests, ensuring accurate and timely diagnostic reports.
- Review, validate, and authorize laboratory test results in compliance with NABL standards, laboratory protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to NABL accreditation requirements, internal quality control (IQC), external quality assurance schemes (EQAS), and quality management systems.
- Maintain compliance with NABL, CAP, ISO, biomedical waste management (BMW), and applicable statutory regulations.
- Participate in validation, verification, and implementation of new tests, instruments, technologies, and laboratory procedures.
- Supervise laboratory personnel, provide technical guidance, conduct competency assessments, and support continuous qualified training and development of staff.
- Monitor laboratory turnaround times (TAT),
productivity, documentation, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and process improvement initiatives.
- Lead and participate in internal audits, management reviews, NABL assessments, and corrective actions to ensure continual compliance and accreditation readiness.
Preferred candidate profile
- MBBS with MD/DNB in Pathology. Fellowship or specialization in a pathology is desirable.
- Valid registration with National Medical Commission (NMC)/ State Medical Council.
- Prior experience in an NABL accredited diagnostic laboratory is preferred.
