Experience

Education

UG / PG preferably in Packaging, Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, Pharmaceutical, FMCG or related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee end-to-end packaging operations, including filling, labeling, packing, case sealing and finished goods handling.
- Ensure packaging activities comply with GMP, SOPs, safety standards, quality requirements and applicable regulatory guidelines.
- Develop and implement effective packaging strategies, including sourcing of packaging materials, equipment and related resources.
- Plan and monitor daily and weekly packaging schedules to achieve production and dispatch targets.
- Coordinate with Marketing and Commercial teams for packaging requirements, product launches, artwork/label changes and market requirements.
- Manage packaging materials, equipment, supplies and inventory to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor packaging quality and ensure timely identification, reporting and resolution of defects, deviations and process-related issues.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of batch records, SOPs, production reports, inventory records and waste logs.
- Oversee in-process and post-process sample collection as per approved procedures and batch records.
- Monitor packaging waste and ensure proper disposal of debris and processing waste in accordance with company procedures.
- Ensure accurate product tracking, product movement, security and inventory control throughout the packaging process.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of packaging equipment to minimize downtime.




- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve packaging efficiency, productivity, quality and cost effectiveness.
- Support new product introduction, new packaging formats and process development initiatives.
- Prepare and review operational reports, production schedules, budgets and packaging-related performance metrics.
- Lead, supervise and develop the packaging team, including manpower planning, performance management, training and capability development.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members.
- Conduct regular training on SOPs, GMP, sanitation, safety and packaging processes.
- Ensure housekeeping and cleanliness of packaging areas and equipment.
- Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams to ensure schedules, priorities and operational requirements are met.
- Support regional office and depot requirements and undertake extensive travel as required.

Candidate Profile

- UG / PG with 710 years of overall experience, including minimum 5 years of relevant Packaging experience.
- Solid experience in packaging operations, packaging materials, packaging equipment and process management.
- Proven ability to work closely with Packaging, Marketing and Commercial teams.
- Strong understanding of GMP, SOPs, quality systems, documentation and safety requirements.
- Experience in team handling, manpower planning, performance management and training.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional coordination abilities.
- Should be willing to travel extensively for Regional Office visits, Depot visits and other business requirements.
- Candidates based in Chennai / Tamil Nadu will be preferred.
