We are seeking a seasoned Oracle DBA skilled in production support with at least 6+ years of experience with proven expertise in managing Oracle database environments.

- Having additional skills of managing Pgsql, Sql Server and any other databases are desired.
- The ideal candidate will excel in operational management ensuring database performance, reliability, and security for enterprise applications.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and database operations on on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure and GCP).

Key Responsibilities

- Provide 24x7 production support for databases across on-premises and cloud (Azure, GCP) environments via rotational shifts and on-call duties.
- Administer, monitor, and maintain databases in production and non-production environments. Implement and manage backup, recovery, tuning, HA, and DR (Disaster Recovery) strategies.
- Perform routine health checks, proactively identify performance bottlenecks, and optimize queries and database configurations.
- Manage database security, user permissions, and compliance with organizational policies. Coordinate and execute database patching, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support deployment activities and resolve database-related issues.
- Monitor and resolve incidents, including root cause analysis and documentation of resolutions.



Automate routine operational tasks using scripts or management tools.
- Document database procedures, configurations, and support processes for internal knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Experience-

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA managing multiple database technologies Oracle(must), PgSQL, Sqlserver etc database environments.
- Strong SQL scripting and database troubleshooting skills. Automate and optimize routine operational tasks using scripting (PowerShell, T-SQL, SQL, Shell scripting, Python etc)
- In-depth knowledge of backup/recovery, high availability (Clustering, AlwaysOn, DataGuard, etc.), and performance tuning for both platforms.
- Experience with database monitoring tools - Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, Nagios etc and automation frameworks such as Ansible and Terraform .
- Solid understanding of database security best practices. Proven experience with patching, upgrading, and migrating databases. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operations setting.
- Ability to support DB audit requirements and license management.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications-

- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Database Administrator Certified Qualified, or equivalent.
- Exposure to cloud-based database services (Azure, GCP etc). Experience with automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Shell scripting, Python).
