Role & responsibilities

Plant Operation & Monitoring

- Operate and monitor all seven generating blocks daily; record block-wise generation, PR, CUF, and irradiance, and flag deviations from expected output.
- Monitor SunGrow inverters, other reputed makes via the OEM portal and site logs; track alarms, derating, and communication faults.
- Read and reconcile DGVCL combined CT/PT metering and Schneider ION generation meters; maintain daily generation and export logs.
- Track transformer loading, temperatures, and 11 kV VCB/RMU status across all evacuation bays.

Breakdown Maintenance & Troubleshooting

- Respond to and rectify breakdowns rapidly to minimise generation loss and meet SLA/availability targets.
- Diagnose and resolve inverter faults (PVISO/insulation, grid, DC, string, and communication errors) with SunGrow OEM coordination.
- Troubleshoot string-level underperformance using I-V curve and thermography; identify hotspots, faulty modules, and connector issues.
- Attend to HT-side events (VCB/RMU trips, protection operation, transformer alarms) safely and log root-cause with RCA.

Safety, Testing & Documentation

- Follow LOTO, PPE, work-at-height,



and HT switching safety protocols at all times; maintain the PPE and permit-to-work records.
- Conduct and record electrical safety and earthing tests per IS 3043 and CEA regulations.
- Maintain all site registers and logbooks daily generation, cleaning, PM checklist, breakdown/RCA, vegetation, consumables, attendance, calibration.
- Support monthly performance reporting, incident reporting.
- Manage spares and consumables inventory for all seven blocks; raise indents in time to avoid downtime.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics or equivalent.
- Minimum 4–5 years hands-on O&M; experience on ground-mounted / utility-scale solar plants.
- Working knowledge of SunGrow (or equivalent) string inverters, step-up transformers, DCDBs, and 11 kV switchgear (VCB/RMU).
- Ability to read SLDs, layout drawings, protection schemes, and cable schedules.
- Proficiency with test instruments — multimeter, clamp meter, megger/IR tester, earth tester, thermal camera, I-V curve tracer.
- Familiarity with inverter OEM monitoring portals and basic reporting/data entry.
- Robust troubleshooting, HT safety awareness, and record-keeping discipline.
