2. Evaluate and treat patients with acute kidney injury (AKI) and chronic kidney disease (CKD).

3. Manage patients with nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, electrolyte disorders, and hypertension related to renal disease.

4. Provide consultation for patients admitted under other specialties.

5. Conduct regular OPD and inpatient rounds.

6. Attend nephrology emergencies and provide timely clinical intervention.

7. Manage renal complications in critically ill and ICU patients.

8. Prescribe and monitor renal replacement therapies.

9. Provide pre- and post-kidney transplant nephrology care where applicable.

10. Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plans.

Dialysis Services

1. Supervise hemodialysis services.

Review dialysis prescriptions and adequacy.

3. Manage complications during dialysis.

4. Work closely with dialysis technicians and nursing staff.

5. Ensure secure and evidence-based dialysis practices.

Quality and NABH Compliance

1. Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, and standard treatment guidelines.

2. Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

3. Ensure proper documentation in medical records.

4. Report adverse events and participate in root cause analysis when required.

5. Support NABH accreditation and compliance activities within the department.
