Mid-Level CGI Model Prep Artist Company: Untitled Production Location: Remote Experience: 4–6 Years Department: Creative / CGI / 3 DEmployment Type: Contract / Long-term Contract Joining: Immediate / At the earliest About the Role Untitled Production is looking for an experienced Mid-Level CGI Model Prep Artist to join our CGI/3 D team on a remote basis. We are looking for someone with robust technical knowledge of 3 D model preparation, CAD conversion and optimisation, particularly for product CGI and photorealistic visualisation projects. The ideal candidate should be comfortable receiving raw or complex CAD/product data and preparing clean, accurate and production-ready 3 D models for downstream creative teams.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, accuracy, problem-solving ability and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end model preparation process, from receiving CAD/product data to creating production-ready 3 D assets Convert CAD data into usable 3 D formats while maintaining geometry and product accuracy Clean, organise and optimise models for CGI production Prepare and optimise 3 D models in Maya according to established production guidelines Work with Pixyz or similar CAD conversion / optimisation tools Check topology, geometry, hierarchy, naming conventions and overall model structure Ensure models are technically suitable for texturing, shading, lighting, animation and rendering Optimise heavy CAD models without compromising important product details Perform self-QC and technical reviews before handing assets to downstream teams Identify and troubleshoot CAD conversion, geometry and model-related issues Coordinate with lighting, animation,



rendering and other CGI teams when required Support other artists with technical guidance and model-preparation best practices Maintain organised project files and follow established production workflows Help maintain and improve model-preparation guidelines, templates and checklists Deliver projects accurately and within agreed timelines What We’re Looking For4–6 years of relevant experience in CGI / 3 D model preparation or product visualisation Strong experience working with CAD-based product models Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Maya Experience with Pixyz or similar CAD preparation/conversion software Strong understanding of:3 D geometry Topology CAD conversion Model optimisation Scene organisation Asset preparation Production pipelines Ability to understand and maintain accurate product proportions and details Strong attention to technical and visual accuracy Ability to independently troubleshoot model-related issues Positive organisational and time-management skills Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously Comfortable working remotely with production teams and artists Good written and spoken English communication skills Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in the following will be preferred: Product CGIConsumer electronics Technology products Automotive CGIPremium/luxury products FMCG/product visualisation Advertising CGIGlobal brands and international projects Software Knowledge Strong knowledge of:

Candidates should have: A suitable personal workstation capable of handling professional CGI / 3 D workloads Stable high-speed internet connectivity Reliable backup internet connectivity where possible Backup power arrangements where required Ability to connect to remote servers and production systems Availability for scheduled online production meetings and reviews Ability to coordinate efficiently with teams working remotely Important This position is specifically for a CGI Model Prep Artist. We are looking for candidates who can confidently handle the process: CAD Data → Conversion → Geometry Cleanup → Model Optimisation → Scene Preparation → QC → Production-Ready Asset Candidates with only general graphic design, motion graphics or video-editing experience without relevant CGI/model-preparation experience may not be suitable for this role.
