Position: Merchandiser

Department: Merchandising / Production

Reporting To: Merchandising Manager / Production Manager

Qualification: Graduate / Diploma in Fashion, Apparel, Textile, Merchandising, or related field

Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in garment manufacturing / fashion / apparel / retail industry

Role Purpose The Merchandiser is responsible for managing and coordinating the end-to-end merchandising activities of assigned products/styles, including product specifications, fabric and material planning, inventory coordination, production follow-up, vendor coordination, and delivery timelines.

The role requires solid attention to detail, effective follow-up, and the ability to manage multiple product lines while ensuring that products are executed as per approved specifications, quality requirements, production schedules, and committed delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product & Specification Management

Review product specifications, measurements, BOMs, material requirements, and related documents. Identify specification or documentation errors and coordinate with relevant teams for timely correction.

2. Fabric & Material Coordination

Track fabric, trims, accessories, packaging, and other material requirements. Coordinate with sourcing, purchase, stores, and vendors to ensure timely availability of materials.

3. Inventory Management

Monitor material availability and inventory levels against production requirements. Maintain accurate inventory and material trackers and highlight shortages, excesses, or discrepancies.

Production Planning & Follow-up

Prepare and monitor production schedules and T&A; timelines. Coordinate with production teams and vendors to ensure all activities are completed as per the planned schedule.

5. Order & Delivery Management

Track assigned styles/orders from development through production and final delivery. Monitor committed delivery dates and take proactive action to minimize delays.

6. Vendor & Internal Coordination

Coordinate with Design, Sampling, Purchase, Sourcing, Production, Quality, Stores, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of orders and timely closure of pending activities.

7. Supply Chain & Priority Management

Respond quickly to fabric/material delays, production issues, vendor delays, and changing priorities. Effectively manage multiple concurrent product lines and re-prioritize activities as required.

8. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain accurate merchandising trackers, order status reports, material status, production progress, T&A;, and delivery reports using MS Excel and Google Sheets.

Skills & Competencies

· Basic knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets

· Knowledge of Inventory Management

· Ability to identify and rectify specification errors

· Ability to track fabric and material updates

· Ability to adapt quickly to supply chain delays and changing priorities across concurrent product lines

· Ability to manage production schedules and ensure timely deliveries

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
