Key Responsibilities

- Conduct pre-scan assessment of patients scheduled for FDG PET-CT.
- Review patient history, clinical indications, medications, and relevant investigations before the scan.
- Assess patient fitness and provide appropriate instructions for PET-CT preparation, including fasting and blood glucose requirements.
- Monitor patients during and after FDG administration and PET-CT procedures.
- Identify and manage any immediate patient reactions or medical emergencies.
- Ensure appropriate patient monitoring and safety throughout the procedure.




- Coordinate with Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Technologists, Radiologists, and other clinical teams for smooth patient workflow.
- Provide medical support in case of emergencies within the centre.
- Maintain accurate patient records, clinical documentation, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and clinical protocols.
- Counsel patients and attendants regarding the procedure, precautions, and post-scan instructions.
- Support quality and patient-safety initiatives at the centre.
- Participate in audits, training, and other clinical activities as required.
