Role Overview The Senior Recruitment Consultant will be responsible for independently managing senior and leadership-level mandates across the Automotive and Manufacturing sectors. The role requires strong hands-on experience in executive search, candidate mapping, market intelligence, stakeholder management, and end-to-end recruitment delivery.

Role & responsibilities

- End-to-End Recruitment
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from mandate understanding to candidate closure.
- Handle senior-level mandates such as Head, Director, GM, VP, CXO and Business Leadership positions.
- Understand client requirements, business context, organization structure and leadership expectations.
- Executive Search & Candidate Mapping
- Conduct extensive market mapping and identify relevant talent pools across Automotive and Manufacturing.
- Build and maintain robust networks with senior industry professionals.
- Identify passive candidates through direct sourcing, referrals, LinkedIn and industry networks.
- Develop competitor and talent landscape intelligence for critical mandates.
- Automotive / Manufacturing Expertise
- Demonstrate strong understanding of functions such as Engineering, R&D;, Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Finance, HR and Procurement.
- Understand industry segments including Automotive OEMs, Tier-1/Tier-2 suppliers, EV, Auto Components, Industrial, Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Interact directly with HR Heads, Business Heads and senior management to understand hiring requirements.
- Participate in mandate briefing and calibration discussions.
- Provide regular search updates, market feedback and candidate insights to clients.




- Manage candidate and client expectations throughout the hiring process.
- Candidate Assessment
- Conduct detailed preliminary interviews with senior candidates.
- Evaluate candidates on functional expertise, leadership capability, career progression, business impact, cultural fit, compensation and mobility.
- Prepare high-quality candidate assessment reports and profiles for client presentation.
- Search Strategy & Delivery
- Develop a clear search strategy for each mandate.
- Track pipeline, interview stages, candidate feedback and closures.
- Ensure adequate pipeline coverage and timely delivery against agreed timelines.
- Proactively identify risks such as notice period, compensation gaps, counteroffers and relocation constraints.
- Business Development Support
- Develop relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Identify opportunities for additional mandates within existing accounts.
- Support the Partner/Director in preparing client presentations, market intelligence, talent mapping and search proposals.
- Participate in client meetings and business development discussions when required.
- Team Contribution
- Mentor and guide junior consultants/researchers on sourcing and candidate identification.
- Review search progress and improve sourcing strategies.
- Share industry intelligence, candidate networks and best practices with the team.
- MIS & Performance Management




- Maintain accurate mandate trackers and recruitment MIS.
- Monitor key metrics such as mandates handled, profiles submitted, interviews, offer conversions, closures and turnaround time.
- Ensure disciplined follow-up with candidates and clients until joining.

Preferred candidate profile

- 7 to 10 years of overall experience in recruitment consulting, executive search, or leadership hiring.
- Strong hands-on experience in managing senior and leadership mandates from mandate understanding to closure.
- Prior experience working with Automotive, Auto Components, Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial or related sectors.
- Should have independently handled mandates for Senior Manager, GM, Plant Head, Functional Head, Director, VP and CXO-level positions.
- Strong experience in executive search, market mapping, talent identification and passive candidate sourcing.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a strong network of senior industry professionals.
- Experience in conducting candidate screening, competency assessment and detailed candidate evaluation.
- Strong exposure to client interaction and stakeholder management, including interaction with HR Heads, Business Heads and senior management.
- Should be able to understand the business context, organization structure, role requirements and leadership expectations of clients.
- Strong ownership of end-to-end mandate delivery, including sourcing, assessment, interview coordination, offer management and joining.
- Experience in managing multiple mandates simultaneously with clear focus on timelines and closures.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare candidate assessment reports, search updates and market intelligence.
