Role & responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

- Revenue Generation: Own the full sales lifecycle for event sponsorships, from aggressive lead hunting and cold calling to high-stakes negotiations and closing.
- Strategic Concept-to-Closure: Ideate high-impact events (roundtables, summits, forums) and translate these concepts into lucrative sponsorship opportunities and commercial successes.
- Executive Engagement: Pitch directly to senior management and CXO-level decisionmakers, articulating the unique value of Shaastras prestige to secure long-term partnerships.
- End-to-End Execution: Lead the marketing and operational delivery of events, ensuring seamless execution, vendor management,



and a high-quality experience for all stakeholders.

Required Candidate Profile

- Experience: 6 to 8 years in Advertising and Event Marketing experience preferably within a publishing house (Print / Television / Digital).
- The "Hunter" Mindset: Self-motivated and relentless in pursuing new business; a proven track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Executive Presence: Highly capable of interacting with and influencing senior industry leaders with confidence and clarity.
- Operational Grit: The ability to bridge the gap between a high-level strategy and flawless on-the-ground event execution.
- Mission-Driven: A genuine passion for making a tangible difference in the growth of science journalism in India.
- Location: Preferably Chennai or candidates willing to shift to Chennai. Exception could be made to the right candidates from elsewhere.

Qualification and Experience MBA and 6 to 8 years of relevant experience
