Job Summary The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and ensuring the proper functioning of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, kitchen, bar, and other equipment and facilities within the hotel premises. The technician must respond promptly to maintenance requirements and ensure that all facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out regular inspection and preventive maintenance of equipment and facilities.

- Attend to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance requirements.

- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, switches, sockets, lighting, motors, pumps, and related systems.

- Maintain and repair plumbing lines, taps, toilets, drainage systems, water tanks, and pumps.

- Perform basic maintenance of air-conditioning, refrigeration, kitchen, bar, and other operational equipment.

- Attend to breakdown and emergency maintenance requests promptly.

- Conduct routine checks of generators, water pumps, electrical panels, and other essential systems.

- Maintain proper records of maintenance work, breakdowns, repairs, and replacement parts.

- Identify potential maintenance problems and report them to the Maintenance Manager.

- Ensure that tools, equipment, spare parts, and maintenance materials are properly stored and maintained.

- Coordinate with external technicians or contractors when specialized repairs are required.

- Follow all safety procedures while carrying out maintenance work.





- Ensure that maintenance activities do not unnecessarily disturb hotel, restaurant, bar, or guest operations.

- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety in maintenance areas.

- Perform any other maintenance-related duties assigned by management.

Preventive Maintenance

- Follow the scheduled preventive maintenance plan.

- Check equipment regularly to identify wear, damage, or possible breakdown.

- Replace defective components and consumable parts when required.

- Ensure timely servicing of equipment and systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical field preferred.

- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in a hotel, restaurant, bar, or commercial establishment.

- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.

- Ability to identify and troubleshoot common equipment failures.

- Good practical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and respond to emergency maintenance requirements.

- Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures.
