Job Title: Litigation Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Litigation Manager to manage legal recovery matters, litigation proceedings, court cases, arbitration matters, and legal actions related to recovery of outstanding dues. The role will work closely with the Collections team, advocates, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective legal recovery actions.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare case notes and recommend appropriate strategic legal actions for recovery matters.
- Coordinate with advocates and refer cases for appropriate legal proceedings.
- Work closely with the Collections team to develop time-bound and cost-effective recovery strategies.
- Support reduction of gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA) through effective legal recovery actions.
- Identify customer and case details required for initiating recovery proceedings.
- Conduct legal research and keep the team updated on relevant legal developments and emerging trends.
- Monitor matters filed by or against the organization before High Courts, District Courts, and Sessions Courts.
- Draft, review, vet, and approve legal documents including demand-cum-termination notices, statements of claim, replies, rejoinders, petitions, and other legal correspondence.
- Recommend and initiate SARFAESI actions, wherever applicable.
- Attend arbitration hearings and court proceedings as required.




- Coordinate with external advocates and provide necessary instructions for ongoing matters.
- Maintain regular communication with advocates and monitor the progress of legal cases.
- Maintain accurate records of legal matters and circulate periodic updates to the concerned teams.
- Ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements and internal recovery policies.
- Manage execution proceedings under Order XXI of the Civil Procedure Code (CPC), including disclosure orders, summons, warrants, property attachment orders, and sale orders.
- Respond to notices received from advocates and borrowers within defined timelines.
- Ensure customer communication and recovery activities comply with applicable policies and guidelines.
- Escalate critical legal matters, deviations, and discrepancies to the reporting authority.
- Ensure all legal correspondence follows organizational policies regarding content, communication standards, and timelines.
- Prepare and maintain periodic legal MIS and performance reports for management.
- Monitor case status, recovery progress, and pending legal actions.
- Participate in performance reviews, learning programs, and professional development activities.

Required Skills




- Solid knowledge of legal recovery and litigation processes.
- Knowledge of SARFAESI Act and recovery proceedings.
- Understanding of Civil Procedure Code (CPC), particularly Order XXI.
- Experience in court proceedings and arbitration.
- Strong legal drafting and documentation skills.
- Advocate and external counsel management.
- Knowledge of banking/NBFC recovery processes.
- Strong analytical and case-management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict timelines.
- Strong coordination skills with Legal, Collections, and business teams.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in Legal Recovery / Litigation / Banking / NBFC / Financial Services.
- Experience handling recovery litigation, NPA cases, SARFAESI matters, arbitration, and court proceedings will be preferred.
- Experience coordinating with external advocates and collection teams is desirable.

Education LLB / LLM or equivalent legal qualification from a recognized institution.

Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,586,878.55 per year
