Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Lead ServiceNow Developer.

The Lead

ServiceNow Developer will design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, and automation to support business processes. The role includes leading technical design sessions, reviewing and improving existing configurations, and enforcing development standards and best practices. The individual will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, and other developers to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve troubleshooting issues, optimizing platform performance, mentoring junior developers, and supporting release and change management activities.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead

ServiceNow

Developer with hands-on experience delivering enterprise-grade

ServiceNow solutions.



The ideal candidate combines deep platform expertise across ITSM, Integrated Risk Management (IRM/GRC), and custom application development with the technical leadership needed to guide design decisions, mentor engineers, and drive delivery quality end to end.

This is a senior, delivery-facing role. You will own solution architecture, translate business needs into scalable platform designs, and set the engineering standards the rest of the team builds against.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead solution design and development across the

ServiceNow platform, from requirements to production.
- Architect and build custom applications using App Engine Studio, scoped apps, and the Now platform data model.
- Design scalable integrations and automation using IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP APIs, and Flow Designer.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design governance, and mentoring of junior and mid-level developer s.
- Collaborate with stakeholders

— business analysts, process owners, and client sponsors — to convert requirements into working solutions.

• Ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices,

coding standards, performance benchmarks, and upgrade-safe development.

- Own performance optimization and troubleshoot platform, integration, and data issues across environments.




- Support release management including update sets / application repositories, testing, and deployment across instances.

Required Skills & Qualifications

•

Hands-on

ServiceNow development experience.

- Strong expertise in ITSM

(Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB).
- Proven experience with Risk Management (IRM/GRC)

— policy, risk, and compliance modules.
- Extensive Custom Application Development on the Now platform, including scoped applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs (GlideRecord, GlideAjax, GlideSystem), Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and REST/SOAP APIs.

•

Solid grounding in solution design, performance optimization, and end-to-end delivery.

- Demonstrated technical leadership —

mentoring, code review, and design ownership on multi-

developer engagements.

Preferred / Nice to Have

•

Experience with additional

ServiceNow modules such as CSM, HRSD, SecOps, or ITOM.

•

Familiarity with Service Portal, UI Builder, and Next Experience (Workspace) development.

•

Exposure to CI/CD for

ServiceNow

, automated testing (ATF), and DevOps practices.

•

Understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise governance frameworks.

•

Experience working in consulting or client-facing delivery environments.
