About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Laundry Manager to oversee the complete operations of the laundry facility, ensuring efficient production, high-quality output, timely delivery, optimum resource utilization, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in laundry operations, manpower management, quality control, machine handling, process improvement, and customer/service coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Laundry Operations

Manage end-to-end laundry operations, including receiving, sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding, packing, and dispatch. Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations as per production schedules.

Monitor turnaround time and ensure timely delivery of processed linen/garments.

Plan daily production based on incoming volume and delivery requirements.

Maintain proper workflow and minimize bottlenecks in the process.

1. Manpower Management

Manage and supervise laundry staff, operators, helpers, supervisors, and other operational employees. Prepare manpower allocation and shift schedules.

Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline, and performance of employees.

Identify training requirements and conduct regular on-the-job training.

Ensure adequate manpower availability across all operational areas.

1. Quality Control

Establish and maintain quality standards for washing, drying, ironing, folding, and packing. Ensure proper segregation of linen/garments based on fabric, colour, washing requirements, and customer specifications.

Monitor rewash, rejection, damage, and complaint rates.





Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Ensure proper handling of customer-owned linen and garments.

1. Machine & Equipment Management

Ensure proper operation and utilization of washing machines, dryers, hydro extractors, ironing equipment, boilers, and other laundry equipment. Coordinate preventive maintenance and timely servicing of machines.

Report breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance/service vendors for quick resolution.

Monitor machine utilization and reduce unnecessary downtime.

1. Inventory & Chemical Management

Monitor stock levels of detergents, chemicals, packaging materials, and other consumables. Ensure proper storage and safe handling of laundry chemicals.

Control consumption and minimize wastage.

Maintain records of material consumption and stock movement.

1. Cost & Productivity Management

Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Track productivity, water consumption, electricity, fuel, chemicals, and manpower costs.

Implement process improvements to improve operational efficiency.

Monitor key operational KPIs and prepare periodic performance reports.

1. Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and operational standards. Ensure employees use appropriate PPE while handling chemicals and machinery.

Conduct regular safety checks and maintain workplace cleanliness.

Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained for operational and compliance purposes.

1. Customer & Internal Coordination

Coordinate with customers, hospitals,



hotels, or other service locations regarding laundry requirements and service issues. Address complaints and ensure timely resolution.

Coordinate with transport/logistics teams for collection and delivery schedules.

Maintain strong communication with management regarding operational performance and challenges.

Customer complaint rate

Machine utilization and downtime

Required Qualifications

Graduate/Diploma in any relevant discipline.

Diploma/Certification in Laundry Management, Hospitality, Facility Management, or Operations will be an added advantage.

5–8 years of relevant experience in commercial/industrial laundry operations, preferably in hospital, hotel, healthcare, or institutional laundry.

Strong knowledge of laundry machinery, chemicals, washing processes, and fabric care.

Good manpower handling and team management skills.

Robust operational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Good communication and reporting skills.
