Role & responsibilities:

- Oversee daily laboratory operations across pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes to ensure smooth workflow and timely reporting.

- Ensure compliance with NABL, ISO, and regulatory requirements by maintaining documentation, SOPs, quality records, and audit readiness.

- Monitor laboratory quality indicators and implement Internal Quality Control (IQC), External Quality Assurance (EQAS), and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

- Manage and supervise laboratory personnel, including staffing, attendance/ duty roster, performance monitoring, training, and competency assessments.

- Coordinate with pathologists, clinicians, hospitals, other lab setups and collection centers to ensure productive sample management and customer satisfaction.

- Oversee inventory and procurement management for reagents, consumables, equipment, and vendor coordination to prevent operational disruptions.

- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and validation of laboratory equipment and coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

- Drive laboratory productivity and operational efficiency by monitoring KPIs,



turnaround times (TAT), workload distribution, and process improvements.

- Implement biosafety, infection control, and biomedical waste management practices (BMW) in accordance with regulatory and safety guidelines.

- Lead accreditation, internal audits, external audits, and continuous quality improvement initiatives to maintain excellence in laboratory services.

Preferred candidate profile:

- B.Sc./M.Sc. (MLT)/Medical Laboratory Technology, Life Sciences, or equivalent qualification.

- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a NABL-accredited diagnostic or hospital pathology laboratory, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

- Strong knowledge of NABL, CAP, ISO, quality management systems, laboratory operations, and team management.

- Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), Microsoft Office, and laboratory operational metrics.
