ISBM (Injection Stretch Blow Moulding) Machine Operator

Job Summary The ISBM Machine Operator is responsible for operating, setting, and monitoring Injection Stretch Blow Moulding (ISBM) machines to achieve production targets while ensuring product quality, machine efficiency, and workplace safety. The role requires adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and valuable manufacturing practices to minimize rejection, downtime, and material wastage.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation

- Operate ISBM machines as per approved production plans, SOPs, and work instructions.
- Set and monitor machine parameters including temperature, pressure, blow pressure, cycle time, and other process settings.
- Perform machine start-up, shutdown, and routine operation activities.
- Assist during mould changes, product changeovers, machine setup, and trial runs.
- Carry out basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting within the scope of responsibility.

Production & Productivity

- Achieve daily production targets while maintaining optimum machine efficiency.
- Monitor machine performance and immediately report abnormalities affecting production.
- Reduce machine downtime by promptly reporting technical issues to the Maintenance team.
- Minimize raw material wastage and process losses through effective machine operation.

Quality Control

- Conduct in-process visual inspections at defined intervals.
- Identify defects including flash, black spots, deformation, sink marks, scratches, air bubbles, leakage, uneven wall thickness, and dimensional variations.
- Ensure only approved products are transferred for packing.
- Segregate rejected products immediately and maintain proper rejection records.
- Follow approved Quality Control Plans, inspection standards, and product specifications.





Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain accurate production records, rejection reports, downtime logs, and machine performance data.
- Report machine breakdowns, process deviations, quality issues, and safety concerns to the Production Supervisor without delay.
- Communicate shift handover details clearly to the incoming operator.

Material Handling & Packing

- Handle raw materials, preforms, semi-finished goods, and finished products carefully to prevent contamination or damage.
- Ensure proper identification, packing, and transfer of finished goods to the designated storage area.
- Follow FIFO and approved material handling procedures wherever applicable.

Housekeeping & Safety

- Maintain cleanliness of the machine, mould area, and surrounding workplace.
- Follow 5S, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and housekeeping standards.
- Wear all mandatory PPE including safety shoes, gloves, head cap, ear protection, and any additional equipment required.
- Strictly follow machine safety procedures and never bypass safety guards, sensors, or interlocks.
- Report unsafe conditions, accidents, near misses, or hazards immediately.

Coordination

- Work closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Tool Room, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth production.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity, reducing rejection, and improving machine utilization.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
