A Head of Credit for Large Corporates leads credit risk evaluation, deal structuring, and portfolio management for high-value corporate clients. This senior role sets risk appetites, ensures regulatory compliance, manages large lending books, and guides teams of underwriters to maintain asset quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit Underwriting & Approval: Appraise high-ticket corporate finance, project finance, and syndicated loan proposals within designated approval authorities.
- Financial & Risk Analysis: Evaluate complex corporate balance sheets, cash flow statements, business models, and industry risk dynamics.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Track portfolio performance, identify early warning signals, and implement proactive risk mitigation or recovery plans.
- Policy & Strategy: Partner with business heads to design customized transaction structures while aligning with internal risk guidelines and external regulatory frameworks
- Team Leadership: Direct and mentor senior credit analysts and regional underwriting teams.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA(Top B school)
- Experience: 10 to 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate banking, wholesale credit risk, or large corporate lending.
- Max age : 45 Years
