Job Summary

APM Group Private Limited is looking for an experienced Hanwha SMT Supervisor to manage and supervise SMT production activities. The candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring SMT production lines, supervising operators, achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards, reducing machine downtime, and coordinating with

Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and Engineering teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Hanwha SMT Pick &

Place machines and a good understanding of the complete SMT production process.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day SMT production activities and ensure smooth line operation.

Monitor and manage Hanwha SMT Pick & Place machines.

Plan and allocate operators according to production requirements.

¢ Ensure production targets are achieved within the planned schedule.

¢ Monitor machine performance, production output, downtime, and efficiency.

¢ Supervise feeder loading, component reels, PCB loading, and machine changeovers.

¢ Ensure the correct SMT program, components, feeders, and PCB are used for each production job.

¢ Monitor machine alarms and coordinate with the Engineering/Maintenance team for troubleshooting.

¢ Identify production bottlenecks and take corrective action.

¢ Monitor PCB placement quality and coordinate with Quality for defect control.

¢ Coordinate with SPI, AOI, Reflow, Stencil Printing, and other SMT processes.





¢ Ensure proper handling of ESD-sensitive components and PCBs.

¢ Maintain shift-wise production reports and machine records.

¢ Conduct shift handovers and communicate pending production issues.

¢ Train and guide SMT operators on machine operation and production procedures.

¢ Monitor operator performance and ensure proper work practices.

¢ Coordinate with Stores to ensure timely availability of components and materials.

¢ Coordinate with R&D;/Engineering for new product introduction and trial production.

¢ Ensure implementation of 5S, ESD, safety, SOP, and quality procedures.

¢ Support preventive maintenance and machine cleaning activities.

¢ Monitor rejection, rework, downtime, and productivity.

¢ Prepare and submit daily/shift production reports to the Production Manager.

Required Skills

¢ Strong hands-on knowledge of Hanwha SMT machines.

¢ Good understanding of SMT production processes.

¢ Knowledge of Pick & Place machine operation.

¢ Knowledge of feeders, reels, component loading, and PCB handling.

¢ Knowledge of SMT machine setup and changeover.

¢ Ability to identify machine alarms and common production issues.

¢ Understanding of PCB assembly and electronic components.

¢ Knowledge of ESD procedures.





¢ Good knowledge of production planning and manpower allocation.

¢ Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

¢ Strong team-handling and communication skills.

¢ Basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.

Qualification
