India Pharma People is hiring a Group Product Manager in Chennai and Mumbai to drive pharmaceutical product management, marketing strategies, and team leadership. This role requires expertise in product launch planning, branding, promotional activities, and post-launch audits to achieve revenue and market share targets. Candidates with 5+ years of pharmaceutical product management experience and a strong understanding of the Indian pharma market are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and conceptualize recent product opportunities based on market feedback and therapeutic needs.

- Develop business cases and prepare for timely product selection aligned with company objectives.

- Plan product launches, including manuals, positioning strategies, and coordination with sales teams.

- Conduct post-launch audits to assess product performance and implement corrective actions.

- Oversees and get involved in multiple product management processes (Budgeting and Forecasting, Marketing Communication, Marketing Strategy and Market/ Customer Development etc.,) establishes priorities, and coordinates with team to create schedules throughout the product life cycle.

- Exhibits a deep understanding of the customers needs and reinforces a user-centric approach to its team members.





- Responsible for product strategy for a single product or area of products and build process for specific product segment and product managers.

- Reflect the organisation’s/division’s philosophies/values and discuss them with team, gather feedback, continue to grow and maintain the organisation culture.

- Lead branding and promotional efforts through market research, positioning strategies, and collaborations with advertising agencies.

- Mentor and develop the product management team. Conducts performance reviews, reports on performance metrics, and creates plans to improve team performance.

- Participates in the preparation and development of annual budget plans to ensure appropriate allocation of resources.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Education: Graduate degree in any Science stream.

- Experience: 5+ years in Pharmaceutical Product Management.

Technical Skills

- Knowledge of the Indian pharmaceutical industry, competition, and customer behaviour.

- Strategic mindset with long-term product planning abilities.

- Strong analytical and market assessment skills.

- Financial management and budget planning proficiency.

- Excellent communication and data interpretation skills.

- Ability to adapt to changing pharma market trends and policies.
