Job Summary

Chandigarh University is looking for an experienced General Manager – ERP to lead the strategic planning, implementation, enhancement, and governance of the University's ERP ecosystem.

The role will drive digital transformation by integrating academic and administrative functions, optimizing business processes, and implementing technology-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency across the University.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Strategy & Governance

- Lead the end-to-end management, administration, and optimization of the University's ERP ecosystem.
- Develop and implement ERP strategies aligned with institutional goals and digital transformation initiatives.
- Ensure system availability, scalability, security, and performance across ERP modules.
- Oversee ERP upgrades, enhancements, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.

Business Process Automation
- Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities for process automation and optimization.
- Drive digital transformation by streamlining academic and administrative operations.
- Standardize business processes through effective ERP utilization.

Stakeholder & Requirement Management
- Collaborate with Academic, Finance, HR, Admissions, Examination, and other departments to understand business requirements.
- Translate operational requirements into scalable ERP solutions.
- Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to drive continuous process improvement.

ERP Project Management
- Lead ERP implementation, migration,



enhancement, and integration projects.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure successful project delivery within defined timelines and budgets.

Data Management & Analytics
- Ensure data integrity, security, and accuracy across ERP modules.
- Develop MIS reports, dashboards, and analytical insights for management decision-making.
- Support institutional reporting and business intelligence initiatives.

Vendor & Technology Management
- Manage ERP vendors and implementation partners.
- Monitor vendor performance, SLAs, AMC contracts, and project deliverables.
- Evaluate emerging ERP technologies and third-party integrations.

Compliance & Information Security
- Ensure ERP systems comply with University policies, statutory requirements, and data security standards.
- Implement role-based access controls, audit mechanisms, and governance frameworks.
- Conduct periodic system audits and user access reviews.

Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop ERP functional and technical teams.
- Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance, and build team capabilities.
- Drive user training, change management, and ERP adoption.

- Experience in vendor management and ERP governance.
- Ability to lead large teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Higher Education ERP experience will be highly preferred.

Educational Qualification

- B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
- MBA, MCA, or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred.
- SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, PMP, ITIL, or similar certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience
- 12–18 years of experience in ERP implementation, enterprise applications, or digital transformation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership/managerial role.
- Prior experience in Higher Education ERP will be highly preferred.
