Most jobs let you watch Indian politics from the outside. This one hands you a seat inside the machine - where strategies are drafted, tested against the ground, and rewritten overnight.

We’re Inclusive Minds, the 360° political consultancy aligned with the Indian National Congress, We craft strategy, shape narratives, run campaigns on the ground, and advise leadership on decisions that matter. Generalists are the connective tissue of that machine.

One strict rule: this role is only for people who have never worked in political consultancy. We hire outsiders on purpose - sharp people we can teach politics to, with no borrowed playbooks to untrain. You bring the rigour; we’ll teach you the terrain.

What you’ll actually do

- Research that travels upward - constituency deep-dives, opposition files, briefs that reach leadership desks
- Turn ground reports and survey data into strategy - the ground-truth synthesis behind campaign decisions
- War-room rotations during campaigns - narrative tracking, message testing, rapid response when hours matter
- Scenario analysis as landscapes shift - read the moves, model the counters, recommend the intervention
- Own workstreams end to end in a many-hats environment - scope it, run it, present it, fix it

You won’t shadow the work. You’ll be handed it. What gets you in the door

- 1- 5 years of work experience in consulting, research, policy, or journalism. None of it in political consultancy
- Structured thinking - you can break an ambiguous political question into an answerable plan
- Hands-on with data - fluent in Excel,



and comfortable letting AI tools make you faster
- Writing that survives scrutiny; briefs that busy leaders actually read
- A degree with a record of rigour - premier institutions help; exceptional work counts the same
- You follow Indian politics closely; not because it’s the job, but because you can’t help it

Extra credit

- Time at a general consultancy - the strongest signal we know: structured problems, rigour, tough rooms
- Working in Telugu or Hindi - field research and ground reports run through them
- Analysis beyond Excel - SQL, dashboards, survey tooling, or statistics
- Published thinking - a paper, a policy brief, or a blog worth reading

Why this is different Election cycles compress a decade of professional learning into a year. The questions are live, the feedback from the ground is fast and unforgiving, and the distance between your desk and the decision is one conversation. Most careers wait years for the access this role starts with and nobody here will care that you’re new to politics, only that you’re valuable.

The honest part

We work a six-day week (Monday–Saturday), and campaign peaks demand more - we won’t dress that up. The work is on-site in Hyderabad, with field travel during campaign phases, and the problems rarely arrive well-defined. This is partisan work: we are aligned with the Indian National Congress, and you should want that mission. In exchange: proximity, pace, and responsibility most people wait a decade for. Skip this role if you want politics as a spectator sport. Apply if you want it as your craft.
