Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Engineering
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer / Fire Engineer to develop fire engineering strategies, conduct technical assessments and ensure compliance with applicable Fire & Life Safety codes, NFPA standards and authority requirements .
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Fire Engineering Strategies and FLS reports .
- Conduct means-of-egress and evacuation assessments.
- Review fire compartmentation and separation requirements.
- Develop smoke control and smoke management strategies.
- Support performance-based fire engineering solutions where applicable.
- Review architectural and MEP drawings for FLS compliance.
- Identify fire safety risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Review shop drawings,
material submittals and technical calculations.
- Coordinate with architects, MEP consultants, contractors and developers.
- Support site inspections, testing, commissioning and final authority approvals.
Requirements
- 10+ years of Fire & Life Safety consultancy experience.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 101, 13, 14, 20, 72 , etc.
- Robust understanding of international codes and local regulations.
- Experience in performance-based design is an advantage.
- AutoCAD proficiency; fire modelling knowledge is advantageous.
- CFPS / IFE / NFPA certifications are an advantage.
- High-rise, complex or mixed-use project experience preferred.
