Job Purpose

The Finance Controller will be responsible for providing overall financial governance, budget oversight, cost control, financial reporting and management decision support for Events and Hospitality Properties. The role will ensure effective financial discipline, budget adherence, compliance, cost optimization and accurate financial reporting in coordination with the Planning & Cost (P&C;) Department and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Budget Ownership – Events: Act as the Budget In-charge for all Events, including budget planning, allocation, monitoring, utilization and financial reporting. Ensure timely preparation of annual and event-wise budgets, with budget variance maintained within the approved threshold and timely cost optimization recommendations.
- Hospitality Property Budget Oversight: Provide consolidated financial oversight of all Hospitality Properties in coordination with P&C.; Review monthly budget utilization, actual expenditure, commitments and variances, and identify opportunities for savings and improved financial control.
- Financial Reporting & MIS: Ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly financial reports, budget utilization reports, variance analysis and management dashboards, with zero major reporting errors.
- Cost Control & Optimization: Monitor adherence to approved budgets and identify opportunities for cost reduction and value optimization.



Drive implementation of at least five meaningful cost optimization initiatives annually.
- Compliance & Audit: Ensure effective internal financial controls and compliance with company policies, processes and applicable statutory requirements. Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations, with a target of zero major audit observations.
- Accounts & Financial Controls: Ensure accuracy of accounting, reconciliations, provisions and financial transactions. Monitor vendor payments and ensure timely processing in accordance with defined SLAs.
- Management Decision Support: Provide financial analysis, forecasts, business insights and recommendations to management for major events, projects, contracts and operational decisions. Highlight financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Budget Monitoring & Variance Management: Establish a structured monthly review mechanism for Events and Hospitality Properties. Analyze budget versus actual performance, identify significant deviations and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Process Improvement & Automation: Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize and automate finance processes, reporting and dashboards.



Implement at least three finance process improvement or automation initiatives annually.
- Team Development & Coordination: Build finance team capability through quarterly knowledge-sharing sessions and ensure effective coordination with P&C;, Operations, Procurement and site teams to strengthen financial discipline and accountability.

Additional Role Responsibility The Finance Controller will provide overall financial oversight while the P&C; Department continues to manage day-to-day budget control and processing. The role will consolidate financial information across properties and Events, review monthly performance, identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks, ensure expenditure remains aligned with approved budgets, and provide consolidated financial reports and recommendations to management.

Key Performance Expectations The role will be measured on timely and accurate budgeting and reporting, budget adherence, cost optimization, financial control, audit compliance, working capital and payment discipline, quality of management insights, process automation and effective stakeholder coordination.

The Finance Controller is expected to act as a Finance Business Partner, enabling management to make informed decisions through accurate financial information, proactive risk identification and actionable recommendations.
