Job Summary

CMS IT Services is looking for a Business Finance Analyst to join our Business Finance & Analytics team.

This is an opportunity for an early-career finance professional who enjoys working with numbers, building reports, automating processes and applying business judgement to financial data.

The Business Finance function is being rebuilt, and this role will have significant ownership to design, build and implement solutions, rather than simply follow established processes.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Automation

- Build weekly and monthly financial reports and dashboards.
- Automate reporting workflows using Advanced Excel, Power BI and Claude.
- Improve recurring finance processes and reduce manual intervention.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of management reporting.

Forecasting & Business Finance
- Support order-book and revenue forecasting.
- Analyse field forecasts and provide business insights.
- Develop an understanding of both revenue-generating and non-revenue-generating businesses.
- Support management with data-driven financial analysis.

P&L; & FP&A;
- Support monthly P&L;, MIS, budgeting and forecasting.
- Analyse financial movements and explain key variances.
- Contribute to board and investor reporting packs.

Commercial Finance
- Support pricing, cost structures, RFPs, tenders and customer deals.
- Work with Sales and Presales on Deal Workbooks.
- Evaluate deal economics, margins and commercial risks before signing.

Revenue, Cost & Margin Analysis
- Analyse order book, realisation and revenue leakage.
- Identify cost overruns and margin leakage.
- Analyse penalties, credit notes and cost optimisation opportunities.

Business Analysis
- Support business cases and unit economics for new service lines.
- Conduct market sizing and build-vs-buy analysis.
- Convert open-ended business questions into structured financial analysis.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales,



Presales, Delivery and Operations.
- Provide reporting and business insights to stakeholders.
- Identify and fix processes that are slow, manual or inefficient.

What We're Looking For
- 02 years of experience in Business Finance, FP&A;, Financial Analysis, Commercial Finance or a related area.
- Robust hands-on Advanced Excel skills.
- Exposure to Power BI or other dashboarding tools.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and analytical concepts.
- Ability to analyse data and form an independent business view.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Strong ownership mindset — someone who builds solutions rather than only recommends them.
- Interest in using AI tools such as Claude to automate and improve finance workflows.
