Job Summary

We are looking for a Finance Head who will be responsible for analyzing the financial health of the company, developing financial strategies, assessing investments, and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, leveraging their financial expertise to guide and implement the company's overall financial goals and plans while ensuring all tax-related activities and comply with applicable central and state regulations. The role includes tax planning, auditing accounts, and recommending solutions to finance-related issues, and carries end-to-end ownership of the finance function, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury, Direct and Indirect Taxation, ROC/Secretarial Compliance, and Financial Reporting, acting as the final point of approval and escalation for the Finance team before matters reach senior management.

- Candidate must hold a CA or an equivalent degree from a recognized institute or university.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) cleared in the first attempt is preferred.
- At least 5-6 years of relevant experience is required.
- Company Secretary (CS) qualification or working knowledge of secretarial compliance is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee the organizations financial accounting operations, including review and validation of daily accounting transactions pertaining to asset, liability, income and expenditure entries and other financial records, ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with applicable accounting policies.
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end Accounts Receivable process, including invoicing, e-invoicing, receivables aging, collections, customer account reconciliation, dispute resolution, and bad debt provisioning, in coordination with the Sales team.
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable and vendor management process, including invoice processing and booking, vendor account reconciliation, payment processing, and compliance with applicable statutory requirements.
- Manage treasury operations, including banking activities, bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, working capital, and investment of surplus funds in appropriate capital and money market instruments, while ensuring effective risk management.
- Perform fund management and financial planning activities, including cash flow management, fund utilization, provisions, aging analysis, and recommendations to optimize working capital, control costs, minimize financial losses, and improve business performance and provide fund management reports.
- Establish and maintain effective internal financial controls, accounting procedures, approval mechanisms, and documentation standards to safeguard the organizations financial assets and ensure the integrity of financial transactions.
- Manage Finance and Export-related activities, including inter-company accounting and reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely completion of related financial processes. Manage withholding tax compliance for cross-border transactions,



including determination of applicable tax rates, deductions, payments, filings, reconciliations, and compliance with relevant tax laws and treaty provisions and compliance with the FEMA.
- Provide guidance on cross-border taxation matters, including applicability of Double Taxation Avoidance Agreements (DTAA), treaty benefits, withholding tax implications, and related documentation and compliance requirements.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll and related statutory obligations, including attendance verification, salary computation, new joiner and exit processing, PF/ESI computation, TDS on salary, payroll reconciliation and finalization, and approval prior to salary disbursement.
- Administer and manage statutory bonus and gratuity, among other payroll-related benefits, and manage enrolment and disbursement under applicable government training schemes; oversee statutory tax filings and maintain internal compliance documentation.
- Ensure end-to-end tax and regulatory compliance, including TDS, TCS, GST verification and reconciliation, GSTR filings, and all applicable monthly, quarterly, and annual returns and related compliance activities.
- Manage advance tax compliance, Tax audits under the Income Tax Act, transfer pricing requirements and other applicable direct tax matters.
- Manage applicable US federal, state, and local tax compliance requirements for US entities, including tax assessments, filings, payments, reconciliations, and coordination with external tax advisors and other stakeholders.
- Manage accounting, financial reporting, and compliance requirements of US entities, including preparation and review of financial information in accordance with applicable US GAAP and other relevant accounting and regulatory requirements, as applicable.
- Prepare and present quarterly financial statements and monthly MIS reports (including cash flow) to management, ensuring compliance with applicable Accounting Standards, Accounting Policies and Internal Financial Controls (IFC).
- Analyze key financial ratios covering profitability, liquidity, operational efficiency, and working capital, and provide insights and recommendations to management to support financial planning and business decision-making.
- Coordinate and oversee statutory audit, internal audits, tax audit, year-end closing activities, and other financial reviews, ensuring timely submission of accurate information and resolution of audit observations.
- Manage ROC and Companies Act compliance and applicable corporate laws including preparation and review of information and responses required under the Companies (Auditor’s Report) Order (CARO) 2020, maintenance of statutory records, and coordination with auditors and other stakeholders,, including annual filings and statutory registers, MSME regulations, and other applicable laws.




- Liaise with government departments on applicable subsidy and incentive schemes available to the organization.
- Provide financial and tax advisory support and insights to management on tax planning, business transactions including mergers and acquisitions, treasury matters, accounting policies, taxation matters and other significant financial decisions.
- Participate in the creation, implementation, and continuous improvement of financial policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), internal financial processes, RACI matrices, approval hierarchies, and the compliance calendar to ensure clear ownership and timely completion of statutory obligations. .
- Ensure effective utilization and integration of relevant finance and accounting systems, identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, and maintain appropriate controls over financial data and transactions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders (Management, Human Resource, Sales and other teams) and external stakeholders (auditors and banks) on finance and accounts matters.
- Handle, respond to, and manage all communications, notices, alerts, and correspondence received from government authorities, statutory bodies, regulatory agencies, banks, and other financial institutions, ensuring timely action and compliance.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the Finance team, ensuring effective allocation of responsibilities, performance management, knowledge development, and adherence to established processes and controls.

Key Skills Required

- Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and inter-company transactions.
- Experience with relevant accounting software platforms is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and financial modeling techniques
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of market trends to support budgeting and financial decision-making.
- Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Company Law.
- Prior experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of payroll and labour law compliance, including PF and ESIC, among other statutory requirements.
- Familiarity with ROC / company secretarial compliance and FEMA regulations.
- Experience in treasury management, including banking relationships and investment tracking.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills, working closely with HR, Sales, Operations, and Engineering teams.
