Description
Responsibilities:
Identify and drive product cost improvement actions by working with a cross-functional team (notably Product Management, Engineering, Procurement, Operations and Finance)
Conduct Teardown analysis of UPS’s and analyze Should costing to understand product cost structure (Sheetmetal, Plastic enclosures, cables, PCBs, etc)
Develop product cost comparisons to evaluate and benchmark manufacturing locations and suppliers
Prepare and deliver presentations on product cost targets, key cost drivers, and supporting cost reduction activities
Monitor product costs during the NPDI process and throughout the product lifecycle to identify and act on variances
Identify and pursue continuous improvement projects that deliver improved VCM (Variable Cost Margins) for non-product related cost reductions. E.g., Warehouse overhead reduction, Scrap and Warranty returns reduction, Supply chain improvements, etc

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical degree; Electrical Engineering is preferred
7 plus years’ experience in VAVE,



Supply Chain, or Manufacturing
Experience with recent product development processes and activities is preferred
Demonstrated competence in problem solving, data analysis, & project management
Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations of insights and recommendations, supported by data analysis
Experience developing cross-functional and cross-regional relationships to achieve business objectives
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI), Smartsheet, and other business applications, Creo, AutoCAD expertise preferred.
Excellent communications skills – written & verbal
