About the Role

This is a founding Enterprise Platform Engineer role at an early-stage startup building the foundational infrastructure that enables AI agents to perform meaningful work across hundreds of production-grade applications. You will architect and deliver critical enterprise infrastructure — defining the governance, security, and extensibility primitives required for mission-critical, enterprise-wide automation at scale.

This is a high-impact, high-ownership role working at the intersection of AI agent infrastructure and enterprise platform engineering. You'll help shape the technical direction of the platform from the ground up.

What You'll Do

- Define governance, observability, and control planes for enterprise AI agent ecosystems.

- Build a secure, reliable integration gateway connecting AI agents to external systems and APIs, including secure routing and permissioning primitives.

- Develop platform primitives — multi-tenancy, isolation, and extensibility — designed for massive enterprise scale.

- Architect deployment-versatile, secure, and compliance-ready platform capabilities.

- Transform enterprise onboarding from a services-heavy process into a repeatable, self-serve product experience.

- Lead technical design reviews, write clear design docs, and drive trade-off decisions across the platform.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, sales, and security teams, and engage directly with enterprise customers.

What We're Looking For

Requirements (non-negotiable):

- 7+ years of experience in backend or platform engineering, building production-grade infrastructure.

- 5+ years specifically as a platform engineer, infrastructure engineer, or in a similar role maintaining production systems.

- Must be based in Bengaluru and already authorised to work in India — visa sponsorship is not available.

- Proficiency with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments.

- Experience designing and operating scalable infrastructure for enterprise-scale systems.

Required skills and experience:





- Proven experience designing and operating distributed, multi-tenant platform systems with high availability and scalability.

- Experience defining platform abstractions, primitives, and APIs for enterprise customers in a founding or lead platform role.

- Expertise with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent).

- Track record working in early-stage startups or founding engineering teams, contributing to product and technical direction.

- Practical experience building enterprise-grade authentication and authorization systems (OAuth2, SAML, SSO, service accounts) and secure service-to-service auth.

- Experience building integrations and connectors to third-party SaaS applications and public APIs, including handling retries, rate limits, idempotency, and error handling.

- Hands-on experience with observability, monitoring, and distributed tracing tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and defining SLOs/SLIs and alerting.

- Familiarity with enterprise compliance and security requirements (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR).

- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps practices, and building automated testing and deployment pipelines.

- Deep interest and hands-on experience with AI products, agent architectures, and/or MCP.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable engaging with enterprise customers and working across functions.

Nice to have:

- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or equivalent).

- Experience with database administration or data platform infrastructure.

- Experience in regulated industries or with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation & Benefits

- Salary: $100,000 – $105,000 USD annually
