Position: Electrical Engineer – Solar Projects (PM-KUSUM)

ONLY B.Tech candidates required

Location: Gujarat/M.P (Site-Based)

CTC: ₹3.0 – ₹5.0 LPA

Department: Projects / Engineering

Reporting To: Project Manager / Site In-Charge

? Role Overview The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for execution, supervision, and quality assurance of all electrical works in ground-mounted solar PV projects under the PM-KUSUM scheme. The role involves end-to-end involvement in installation, testing, commissioning, and coordination to ensure compliance with technical standards, safety norms, and project timelines.

⚡ Key Responsibilities

1. Electrical Execution & Installation

- Supervise installation of:
- DC systems (modules, string connections, DC cabling)
- AC systems (inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels)
- Ensure cable laying, routing, and termination as per approved drawings
- Monitor installation of inverters, switchgear, and SCADA systems

2. Testing & Commissioning

- Conduct and witness electrical testing such as:
- Insulation Resistance (IR) tests
- Continuity and polarity checks
- String performance testing
- Inverter commissioning tests
- Support synchronization and grid connectivity activities
- Ensure proper documentation of all test reports

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with:
- MNRE guidelines (PM-KUSUM)
- IEC / IS standards
- Project specifications and drawings
- Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and approvals
- Rectify and close non-conformities (NCRs)

4. Earthing & Safety Systems

- Supervise installation of:
- Earthing systems (LA, equipment, structure earthing)
- Lightning protection systems
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical norms

5. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain records of:




- Daily progress reports
- Cable schedules and test reports
- Inspection checklists
- Prepare daily/weekly progress updates for management

6. Coordination & Site Management

- Coordinate with:
- Civil, mechanical, and QA/QC teams
- EPC contractors and subcontractors
- Ensure work is executed as per timeline and design
- Support issue resolution at site

? Educational Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering

? Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in:
- Solar PV projects (preferred)
- Electrical execution in infrastructure/energy sector
- Experience in ground-mounted solar projects is highly desirable
- Exposure to PM-KUSUM or government projects is an advantage

?️ Technical Skills

- Knowledge of solar PV systems (modules, inverters, transformers)
- Understanding of DC & AC electrical systems
- Familiarity with testing procedures and commissioning practices
- Ability to read electrical drawings and SLDs

? Software Skills

- MS Excel, Word (mandatory)
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge (preferred)
- Familiarity with reporting tools

? Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Timely completion of electrical installations
- Zero major electrical defects
- Successful testing & commissioning within deadlines
- Compliance with safety and quality standards

? Working Conditions

- Full-time site-based role in Gujarat
- Travel across project locations (multiple solar sites possible) if required
- Coordination with cross-functional and field teams
