DevOps Engineer – Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Job Summary

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer – GCP to join our Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building, automating, and supporting cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). In this role, you will provision and manage cloud infrastructure, implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerize applications, automate deployment pipelines, and monitor cloud environments to ensure high availability, security, and operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with application development teams, platform engineers, and security teams to enable reliable and scalable cloud-native solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Provision, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment
- Build and manage Docker container images for cloud-native applications
- Monitor cloud infrastructure and applications using GCP monitoring and logging services
- Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, networking, and secrets management
- Support application deployment, release management, and production operations
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, Kubernetes, and networking issues




- Optimize cloud resource utilization and contribute to cost management initiatives
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment automation and operational processes
- Prepare infrastructure documentation, deployment guides, and operational runbooks
- Participate in production support and incident resolution activities as required

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline




- 4–7 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure, or Platform Engineering
- Hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience deploying and managing applications using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE)
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Linux system administration and networking fundamentals
- Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

- Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification
- Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD
- Knowledge of cloud security and DevSecOps practices
- Experience with cloud cost optimization and infrastructure governance
- Exposure to service mesh technologies (Istio) is an advantage
