About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and precise Mechanical Design Engineer with 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in machine manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise engineering drawings, generating accurate Bill of Materials (BOM), maintaining ERP item codes, and supporting production, QA, and sales teams with machine design documentation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design & Drafting: Create precise General Arrangement (GA) drawings, assembly drawings with BOMs, and detailed drawings for components like shafts, sprockets, pulleys, gears, structural fabrications, and sheet metal.
- Documentation & Manuals: Prepare accurate "as-built" drawings and draft comprehensive Machine Instruction Manuals.
- Drawing & BOM Maintenance: Execute timely drawing/BOM corrections suggested by QA, Production, and Planning departments with zero errors.
- Component Selection: Select brought-out standard mechanical components, including chains, pulleys, sprockets, induction motors, bearings, gearboxes, hardware, and pneumatic components.
- ERP Data Management: Generate item codes and maintain accurate BOMs in ERP systems (SAP, Baan, or similar).
- Cross-Functional Support: Assist Sales, QA, Production,



and Planning departments with engineering queries as required.

Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Diploma Or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution with a strong academic track record.
- Experience: 3–4 years of core design experience specifically in the machine manufacturing industry (e.g., cranes, CNC machines, molding machines, packaging machinery, SPMs, etc.).

Note on Experience: Candidates whose experience is strictly limited to piping, pressure vessels, or pure software tool training (without core machine design domain knowledge) will not be considered. Technical & Core Skills

- AutoCAD Mastery: High drafting speed, accuracy, and strong 2D CAD proficiency are mandatory. (3D modeling experience is a solid plus).
- Core Machine Design: Thorough understanding of basic machine design concepts, engineering calculations, dimensioning, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances (GD&T;).
- Materials & Manufacturing: Solid knowledge of engineering materials, manufacturing processes, and machining. Knowledge of Hydraulics & Pneumatics is a distinct advantage.
- ERP Proficiency: Hands-on experience with BOM creation and item code generation in ERP systems (SAP/Baan).
- Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
