Role Description

- This is a full-time, in office role for a Design Engineer Pharmaceutical &
- Packaging Machinery

based in Ankleshwar, Gujarat.

- The role involves designing and developing pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and industrial packaging machinery, including Tube Filling &

- Sealing Machines, Labeling Machines, Filling Systems, Conveyors, and custom Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).

- The Design Engineer will be responsible for converting machine concepts and customer requirements into practical 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and production-ready designs.

- The role involves designing machine components, mechanisms, frames, fixtures, shafts, rollers, brackets, guards, pneumatic assemblies, and other mechanical systems used in packaging machinery.

- The Design Engineer will prepare and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials), detailed component drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, and design documentation, ensuring accuracy and proper revision control.

- The role requires close coordination with Production, Purchase, Electrical/Automation, Assembly, Projects, and Service teams to ensure that designs are practical to manufacture, assemble, operate, and maintain.

- The candidate will participate in machine assembly, trials, troubleshooting, design modifications, FAT, and performance improvement, incorporating shop-floor and customer feedback into future designs.

- The role also involves selecting suitable materials and standard components and applying appropriate fits, tolerances, surface finishes, fabrication methods, and manufacturing processes based on machine requirements.

- The candidate should have a practical understanding of pneumatics, bearings, gears, belts, chains, shafts, couplings, linear guides, motors, sensors, and other mechanical machine elements.





- Experience or interest in designing machinery for pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food, packaging, or other regulated manufacturing environments will be an advantage.

Candidate Profile:

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

- 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, machine design, packaging machinery, Special Purpose Machines, industrial automation, or related engineering industries.

- Strong hands-on experience in 3D CAD modelling and 2D manufacturing drawings.

- Working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor, Solid Edge, or similar CAD software. SolidWorks experience will be preferred.

- Good understanding of machine mechanisms, mechanical assemblies, fits & tolerances, material selection, fabrication, machining, and manufacturing processes.

- Knowledge of GD&T;, pneumatics, servo/stepper mechanisms, sensors, and automation interfaces will be an added advantage.

- Candidates with experience in Tube Filling &
- Sealing Machines, Labeling Machines, Filling Machines, Capping Machines, Conveyors, Packaging Machines, or SPMs

will be preferred.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to convert concepts into practical, manufacturable machine designs.

- Should be comfortable coordinating with shop-floor, production, assembly, and engineering teams and participating in machine trials.

- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to take ownership of designs from concept to machine commissioning.
