Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced, techno-commercial Sales leader to drive and scale the power transmission and utility sales business. The ideal candidate is an engineering graduate with 15+ years of progressive experience in the power T&D; sector, a solid record of managing utility/PSU accounts, and the proven ability to lead a team of 10 or more sales and commercial professionals. This is a senior leadership role responsible for revenue growth, key account management, and end-to-end order execution.

- Own and drive the sales target for the power transmission / utility business, covering both domestic and export markets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a sales & commercial team of 10+ people, building capability and ensuring performance accountability.
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with utilities, PSUs (including entities such as Powergrid), EPC contractors, and private sector customers.
- Lead business development and technical-commercial tendering for high-voltage transmission equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, GIS, instrument transformers, etc.).
- Oversee contract negotiation, order booking,



and receivables management to ensure healthy order-to-cash cycles.
- Track and respond to utility/PSU inspection requirements, technical clarifications, and compliance protocols for high-voltage equipment.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, including export markets, to diversify and grow the order book.
- Collaborate with product management, engineering, and manufacturing teams to align customer requirements with product roadmaps.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management, and MIS reporting to senior leadership.
- Represent the organization at industry forums, exhibitions, and customer meetings to strengthen brand visibility.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (mandatory); MBA/PGDBM in Marketing or General Management preferred.
- 15+ years of overall experience, with a significant portion in power transmission, T&D;, or utility sales.
- Preferred age bracket: 4045 years
