Scheduler Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor retail outlets daily stock levels of petrol and diesel
Plan replenishment schedules based on consumption trends
Prevent stock-outs and excess inventory
Analyze historical sales/usage data
Adjust forecasts for:
Seasonal demand (festivals, summer travel & etc.)
Price changes
Market or regional demand fluctuations
Coordinate loading/delivery timelines with Retail Outlet, Loading Terminal and Transport Operations team.
Plan tank truck dispatch schedules
Ensure the right grade and quantity of fuel is delivered to each location
Ensure scheduling complies with:
Safety regulations (VRIP Guidelines)
Company SOPs
Maintain accurate inventory records
Reconcile physical stock vs system stock
Prepare reports on:
Inventory levels
Losses or gains
Key performance indicators
Minimize:
Emergency supply




Demurrage and detention charges
Support cost-effective sourcing and distribution decisions
Act as a central link between:
Loading Terminal
Transport Operations Team
Retail Outlet Team
Communicate delays, shortages, or changes in schedule promptly
Plan for:
Supply disruptions
Tank Truck breakdowns
Sudden demand spikes
Maintain emergency stock plans
Execute rapid rescheduling when issues arise

Key Skills Required
Robust planning and analytical skills
Knowledge of fuel logistics & storage systems
Understanding of inventory control principles
Ability to work under time-critical conditions
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
