About the Role

We are looking for a Cost Accountant with hands-on experience in cost accounting and financial analysis. The ideal candidate should have experience in standard costing, product costing, inventory valuation, cost variance analysis, and cost reporting, with the ability to provide meaningful insights into cost performance and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage cost accounting activities for manufacturing or product-based businesses.
- Develop, maintain, and review standard costing models.
- Analyse material, labour, overhead, and production costs.
- Perform product and inventory costing.
- Analyse actual costs against standard costs and investigate variances.
- Prepare cost variance reports and provide insights to management.
- Support inventory valuation and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Review Bills of Materials (BOM), production costs, and cost allocations where applicable.
- Support budgeting and cost planning activities.
- Prepare cost and profitability reports for management review.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to costing and inventory.
- Maintain supporting schedules and documentation for audit purposes.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost controls, reporting,



and costing processes.

Key Software Hands-on experience with one or more of the following is preferred:

- SAP
- Oracle
- Advanced Microsoft Excel

Experience with other ERP, costing, or financial systems will also be considered.

- CMA, Chartered Accountants, or candidates pursuing relevant professional qualifications will be preferred.
- 3-8 years of experience in Cost Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, Management Accounting, or related finance functions.
- Experience in manufacturing, production, or product-based businesses is preferred.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory costing principles.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems.
