Role & responsibilities

- Provide direct tax advisory services across domestic and international tax matters.

- Advise clients on complex and evolving tax issues, including BEPS, GAAR, indirect transfers, and other international tax developments.

- Handle end-to-end tax advisory, litigation, compliance, and business tax requirements, ensuring holistic and commercially viable tax solutions.

- Manage and oversee direct tax compliances for a portfolio of clients.

- Provide withholding tax advisory and support clients in evaluating tax deduction and reporting obligations.

- Prepare and review corporate income tax returns, tax computations, and other relevant tax documentation.

- Review and vet tax positions and provide technical inputs on complex tax matters.

- Assist in tax litigation and assessment proceedings, including responding to notices issued by the Income Tax Department.

- Draft submissions, replies,



and representations for income tax assessments, appeals, and other proceedings.

- Conduct tax research and assist in preparing technical research papers on direct tax and transaction tax matters.

- Support the development of the firm's position on emerging direct tax, international tax, and transaction tax issues.

Preferred candidate profile

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0-3 years of relevant experience in Direct Tax.

- Prior experience in Income Tax, Company Law, and regulatory compliances.

- Exposure to expatriate taxation would be an added advantage.

- Experience in tax advisory, litigation, assessments, and/or corporate tax compliance will be preferred.

- Solid willingness and ability to travel, as required by client engagements.
