We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst who combines strong business analysis and system configuration capabilities with the ability to effectively lead Agile/Scrum delivery for a cross-functional team.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into system solutions, and independently configure the application where required. In addition, this individual will be responsible for facilitating Scrum ceremonies, managing the team's backlog and delivery cadence, removing impediments, and ensuring alignment between business stakeholders and technical teams.

This role requires someone who is equally comfortable getting into the system and configuring it and running the Scrum process for the team.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements:

- Partner with business stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, and requirements.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization.
- Work closely with developers, QA, product owners, and other technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood.
- Conduct requirements walkthroughs, demos, and stakeholder reviews.
- Support UAT planning, execution, defect resolution, and business sign-off.

System Configuration:
- Independently configure the business application/system based on approved business requirements.
- Translate functional requirements into system configurations, workflows, business rules, fields, forms, permissions, notifications,



and other applicable configurations.
- Analyze configuration impacts and identify downstream dependencies.
- Troubleshoot configuration-related issues and work with technical teams when custom development or integrations are required.
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, releases, and regression testing.
- Maintain configuration documentation and ensure changes follow established governance and change-management processes.

Scrum / Agile Responsibilities:
- Act as the Scrum facilitator for the assigned team.
- Facilitate Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Work closely with the Product Owner to maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
- Ensure user stories are appropriately defined, estimated, prioritized, and ready for development.
- Track sprint progress, dependencies, risks, and impediments.
- Proactively identify blockers and coordinate with appropriate stakeholders to resolve them.
- Promote Agile principles, continuous improvement, and effective team collaboration.
- Maintain sprint metrics and communicate delivery status to stakeholders.
- Help the team maintain a predictable and sustainable delivery cadence.

Stakeholder & Delivery Management:
- Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, product owners, technical teams, and leadership.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and key decisions clearly.




- Manage competing priorities and ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery.
- Support release planning and coordinate activities across multiple teams where required.
- Mentor team members on requirements quality, Agile practices, and effective collaboration.

Required Skills:
- 7-12 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong experience in business requirements gathering, process analysis, functional specifications, and user stories.
- Hands-on experience with system/application configuration.
- Strong understanding of workflows, business rules, data structures, integrations, and application functionality.
- Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing sprint activities.
- Strong understanding of Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Definition of Ready, and Definition of Done.
- Experience working with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or equivalent.
- Solid stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM, or equivalent.
- Experience with enterprise business applications such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, SAP, Workday, Dynamics 365, or similar platforms.
- Experience with application integrations and APIs.
- Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with UAT, release management, change management, and production support.
- Experience working with distributed/global teams.
