Role Description The Bioinformatics Business Head is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Pune City. This role is responsible for defining and executing the business strategy for bioinformatics services and products, including market positioning, service offerings, and revenue growth. Day-to-day activities include overseeing client acquisition and relationship management, collaborating with scientific and technical teams to align solutions with market needs, and managing budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.

The role also involves identifying partnerships, monitoring industry trends, ensuring regulatory and ethical compliance, and presenting business performance and strategic plans to senior management.

Qualifications

- Strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related life sciences, with the ability to understand and guide data-driven solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, product or service strategy, and market expansion within healthcare, biotech, or technology sectors.
- Proven leadership skills, including team management, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with experience in using metrics and financial data to drive business outcomes.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is an advantage.
- Experience working with or overseeing bioinformatics platforms, data analysis workflows, or software solutions is highly desirable.
- Ability to work on-site in Pune City and collaborate with local and global teams as needed.
