Capability Leader, AWS Cloud Role Overview the AWS Capability Leader will be responsible for driving end to end capability development, workforce readiness, technical assessments, and talent strategy for the AWS practice. This role will work closely with leadership to shape quarterly plans, ensure a future ready skill pipeline, strengthen delivery excellence, and build a high-quality pool of AWS professionals across grades. This position requires strong AWS expertise, people centric leadership, operational rigor, and the ability to uplift overall capability maturity within the organization.

Key Responsibilities • Define quarterly strategy, capability goals, and operational plans aligned with SP Head and C&CA; leadership directives.

- Drive AWS capability building through training programs, hackathons, certification plans, architect pipeline creation, and competency mapping.
- Conduct technical assessments, provide guidance, and create performance improvement plans for AWS engineers and architects.
- Collaborate with AWS OEM to create partner led solutions • Build accurate workforce forecasts based on demand, roll offs, and skill trends • Lead bench management through skill-gap analysis, upskilling plans, rotation management, fresher shadowing, and fulfillment improvements.




- Reduce account based hiring dependency by increasing fulfillment from the strategic bench.
- Define recruitment strategies, strengthen interview panels, and ensure hiring quality through LHP governance.
- Drive people engagement, growth, promotions, training, and attrition management.
- Create a SWAT team to support delivery challenges, industrialization initiatives, and GenAI adoption.
- Ensure training, certification, and mandatory compliance across all AWS roles. ________________________________________ Good to Have Skills • AWS Solution Architect Skilled or Specialty certifications.
- Experience leading competency or capability teams in large organizations.
- Strong understanding of cloud modernization, DevOps, and cloud native architectures.
- Exposure to delivery excellence frameworks, audits, and quality interventions.
- Ability to coach architects and senior engineers in technical and behavioral competencies.
- Experience engaging with AWS partner ecosystem and leveraging their programs.
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort in forecasting, dashboards, and data driven decisions.
